Hospital at home (HAD)

The management in HAD or hospital at home, proposes organization and coordination of care at home for some patients: simple chemotherapy, antibiotherapy, hydration, artificial nutrition, pain treatment, supportive cares, etc. A doctor and nurses form the IHOPE can meet with the private care givers: your referent nurse will handle this follow-up within the scope of care coordination.

The hospital at home coordination service (SAD/HAD) is internal to the IHOPE. It is a specialized service for children managed in onco-hematology.

The team including pediatric onco-hematologists and nursery nurses with skills in cares coordinates the management and is the interface between the hospital and home caregivers whatever the child’s leaving place.

The HAD can be proposed to children and their families for a follow-up care management: pursuance of antibiotics, hydration following chemotherapy, artificial nutrition… Or for an alternative to the hospitalization: weekly chemotherapy or follow-up of an injectable chemotherapy, supportive cares at home. This management aims to improve the quality of life of the child and his family by supporting his in-home cares during a long and weighty treatment, including numerous stays at the hospital. The HAD tends to maintain home intimacy and comfort along with hospital skills and safety.

A social assistant dedicated to this activity will meet you to propose you the assistance you may need.

Invoicing

The HAD is equivalent to a hospital management but at the patient’s living place, consequently the fees are different: you will not have to give your health assurance identification card to all the caregivers. Their wages will be handled by the hospital.

This service covers all the Rhône-Alpes Region and works exclusively with private healthcare professionals.

The Rhône-Alpes region department only: Ain, Ardèche, Drôme, Isère, Loire, Rhône, Savoie and Haute-Savoie.
