Surgery
The management of cancer children and adolescents may require a surgical procedure. It is a local treatment which consists in removing the tumour. The choice of treatments is made during a Multidisciplinary Tumour Board (MDTB), including specialists, pediatric oncologists, radiotherapists and surgeons, and according to recognized protocols.
When a surgery is indicated it can be performed within the Woman Mother Child Hospital (HFME) in the East Hospital Complexes of the Lyon Hospices Civils or in another expert hospital.
